Why linen

Linen is woven from flax, a plant that grows mostly on rainfall and needs far less water and pesticide than conventional cotton. It stays light and airy in the heat, and gets softer with every wash. Many pieces here are stonewashed, so they arrive soft from the first wear.

Shirts and layers

The KOKO shirt is an oversized oriental button-up, and KAFTAN an oversized kurta. QI Shirt is a slim asymmetric button-up with Bali batik details. To layer over them: KOKO linen vests, hooded HANZO vests, AGUNG and BUSHI kimonos, and the kimono-style QI Jacket.

Pants and shorts

BUSHI pants take their lines from Japanese tailoring, KOKO pants are relaxed joggers, and QI pants have a drop crotch. AGUNG NINJA brings stonewashed linen to the harem pants cut. For warm days, there are KOKO shorts and the drop crotch DUNE and SISU shorts.

Made in Bali

Designed in Finland and sewn by hand by VALO's tailors in Bali, Indonesia. A few pieces blend linen with cotton — each product page lists the exact fabric.
